Visiting Singapore? Well, the one thing you need to know about Singaporeans is that we love our food. And naturally that leads us to be huge fans of... BUFFETS! A huuuuge variety of food for you to pick from, what's not to love right? And of course, even though our team may not be huge competitive eaters, we do enjoy our buffets. So if you're heading to this sunny island soon, we've compiled a comprehensive list of halal buffets (nope, not just muslim-friendly, but halal certified) in Singapore just for you! After all, you travel to immerse in the local culture right?

What to expect: A scrumptious international spread with seafood, sashimi, local favourites (hainanese chicken rice, laksa, etc), Asian delights (thai, chinese, indian, etc) and of course a amazing desert corner! Yes, they have not one but three amazing chocolate fondues too.

What to expect: Although 21 on Rajah may not have an impressive spread to rival the likes of other international buffets, they do have the pre-requisite seafood on ice (yep, Singaporeans love their seafood too), tapas, local favourites (chicken rice/tom yum noodles), a carving corner and more!

What to expect: As you would expect from a name like this, AquaMarine's seafood spread is pretty amazing – HELLO Alaskan King Crab! With all that fresh seafood, international AND local delights, it's really not hard to see why people can't stop raving about this buffet.

Local cuisine is served in a contemporary style at Straits Kitchen with an amazing spread of Chinese, Malay and Indian food! Yes, that means you get to try a whole array of local desserts too!

What to expect: You can probably already guess what Asian Market has to offer in their buffet spread from their name only. Yep, pan-Asian cuisine!

What to expect: We have yet to visit this for ourselves and were a little iffy over the mixed reviews that we found online. However, it seems that whenever they have a special event (e.g. crab extravaganza / nyonya preview) the reception was pretty positive. Other than your usual seafood fare, the focus for 1market is definitely local food with satay, beef rendang, butter crab and more!

What to expect: It's pretty easy to miss Katong Kitchen amidst all the other more well-located hotel restaurants. But if you plan to explore the more residential parts of Singapore, check out Katong Kitchen for some Nyonya fare! Rightfully located in the Peranakan neighbourhood in Katong, this restaurant also serves Macanese, Asian, local Chinese and Western fare.

What to expect: We admit. Penang is really near Singapore, but really, it can be pretty tough to find halal local food there, so here's an alternative: Penang St. Buffet! (Yes, we earlier went to their crab madness buffet and are still hoping that they would bring it back soon.) Apart from their authentic Penang cuisine, they also have a pretty awesome seafood spread in their premium buffet offering!

What to expect: Have absolutely no idea what to eat? Well at Buffet City, you get a mish-mash of everything. Yep, we mean everything. Japanese, Thai, seafood, pizza, dim sum, etc. Again, we haven't been to this particular restaurant and reviews are pretty mixed. Some love it, some not so much... One thing's for sure, the price is much lower than most buffets out there.

What to expect: Sakura International Buffet is pretty known amongst the locals for their seafood fare and Japanese food (although they do also have other local and western fare). Don't go there expecting all the frills though, considering that their prices are pretty low compared to the other buffets. We say this is definitely worth the amount you're paying.The only downside? Their locations are not exactly the best if you're only in town for a short trip.

What to expect: We didn't say that all buffets have to be about food now, did we? If buffets are not your thing, how about ICE CREAM instead? Get your fill of ice cream, waffles, cakes and more! They even have a section where they'll help you mix your ice cream with toppings on a cold marble slab.
